ODE TO A BBW

Never in my life have I met someone like you

The natural beauty that you are

Fine and thick in ways not appreciated by the blind

Wide expressive eyes seeking knowledge, peace, and understanding

Heart as big as the sun with a smile that can light up the world

You are a uniquely made vessel

With an endless capacity for aspiration

Enabled to bend and shape minds

Conception was wielded to birth confidence in you

You take life by the horns and wrangle it into submission

You were molded and shaped from the riches of the land

A special clay imbued with the very essence of the soil

Precious cloth was selected from which you were cut

And once you were created, the cloth was burned, destroyed, and cast away

Because your Creator decided you were far too special to be duplicated

Be Bold.
Be Strong.
Love Life.
Love Yourself.
Your happiness brings joy to the world.

You are everything.
You are more than enough.
And if no one attests to your worth,
It is only because they lack the insight to assess the value of precious jewels.
Your value belongs to you.
You must assert YOUR VALUE, YOURSELF.

Big
Beautiful
Curvy
Fat
Black
Girl
God makes no mistakes.

Remember, you can’t change based on others' words

It is only when you seek out the best assets you possess

That you can find ways to maximize who and what you are

Your assignment starts deep within

Shine when the world wrestles with you intent on snuffing out your light.
